Meet Irene Marshall
Who I Am
My name is Irene Marshall and I love to help people get jobs and start new careers.
I had a very eclectic career until the age of 50. Throughout my life, I worked in a variety of different industries, with a career spanning accounting, finance, sales, marketing, business development, small business consulting, and running two family business. I was very successful, but it just never “felt right.” I never felt like I was doing what I was meant to do. It was like everything I had done so far in my life was preparing me for my “real work.”
The Shift
When Robert Half hired me as a recruiter in 1999, everything started to change. As a recruiter, it was my job to help fill positions at companies across the country. The very first time I received a job offer for someone who accepted it — Voila, that was it! I suddenly understood what my real work was! Since then, I have never looked back. Helping people get jobs and build their careers is my way of making a big difference in other people’s lives.
My time as a recruiter taught me exactly what employers were looking for when they are hiring. I took this knowledge and started writing professional resumes back in 2003. Since then, I have written over 2,000 resumes and other career documents, and have reviewed thousands more. I also discovered that I had a real talent for career coaching. Not all resume writers coach and not all coaches write, but I excel at both.
What I Offer
When you decide to start working with me, you are guaranteed a personalized experience. When it comes to writing, no two resumes are the same, so I don’t believe in using templates. Instead, I start by really listening to who you are, your experience, and what you need from your resume. Based on this, we can decide together if I am the best resource for your job search. Over the course of my career, I’ve helped thousands of people regain confidence in themselves and land the job of their dreams. Let me help you find yours! Visit my Service pages to more about my writing services.
A great resume might get you in the door, but without a proper strategy and action plan to back it up, it’s a lot like getting a brand-new Mercedes without an engine! One-on-one coaching allows you to explore your options, get some clarity on what you want to do, and then take the steps for the next part of your career. I offer a complete package of coaching services that will take you through this entire cycle so you can take action.
